Shot this buck Sunday the 28th. Haven't filled a tag since 2010, so it was good to finally get a shot at a mature deer. Especially when NR tags are $600. Taxi has him at 4.5 years. 6" bases and grosses right around 160.
Shot him on my buddy's 80 acre farm in Monona county. He runs a lot of cameras but, has zero history with this buck. 180 yards with my Savage ML with a Pacmar (sp) barrel. He didn't go anywhere but, was able to knock off 1 antler while thrashing around on the ground.
Got my daughter out Weds night for the last day of Nebraska ML. She waited until the last 15 minutes but, got the job done.
