Got my soil test back

Fulldrw

Well i just got my soil tests back and it says that my ph is low and that i will probably need 3-5 tons of lime per acre. I only have 1/2 acre that i can put food plot in. I was wondering what would be the best way to go about this? I will probably just spread the lime with my fourwheeler and a pull behind spreader.

Pel lime sounds like a easy answer, about 400 lbs equals roughly one ton Ag lime. It is also 98% available the first year!!!

NW- Where do you buy your pel lime, quarry? The supercal 98 I buy at Farm Service seems to be expensive, depending on whose working when you go there.

Timber Pig Call me some time on this one. Dad just had it put on my field N. of my house. He had some local guy apply it. Not the co-op or FS.
