Gotta Vent

Well i dont post much on here as i just took up archery and was hoping to get a picture into the harvest report this season but i hope my luck can switch

Heres the Story

I usually have to work on Saturdays so that leaves usually only Sundays for me to hunt as i have college and work during the week. Headed down to our land down in s.w iowa this morning got to land i was setup in some evergreens and dad was over in a ditch i seen alot of does and a few decent bucks but all out of range. Dad came and picked me up around 9 and we went over to put up my double bull for the afternoon hunt got that setup and looking good around 10 took a little nap in the truck and then headed in to town to grab a bite to eat got back and to the land and sat at the truck for a while and dad was dropping me off and we noticed...WHERE DID THE BLIND GO?...now the area i hunt you have to take a mile long level b to get down so thier is VERY little traffic but the back side of my land is about 1000 acres of CRP and thier were about 3 TRUCKLOAD of guys hunting the area and they seen us setting the blind up and we seen vehicle tracks up to our back fence line so they just drove up TRESSPASSED and STOLE my blind, chair, and a nice mag light flash light we left in there for the evening. So we got the farmer he is a good relative of ours so i am the only one allowed to really hunt on his land he lets some locals hunt but not much manly i have full access to it. So we got the farmer showed him were my blind "was" found the tire tracks leading to the fence and tried calling the people who own the land but no answers figures

Now this isnt the only time we have had problems with these "hunters"

- 5-6yrs ago we were pheasant hunting and our dog crossed the fence and pointed a bird just on the other side so my dad gave a gun to another guy with us and he crossed grabbed the dog turned around and not a sec later here came a suburban flyin up the hill at my dad chewin him out for tresspassing. note he had like 4-5 shotguns hanging out the passenger window

- we know they tresspass on our land all the time as we find fresh shells on our land all the time and we have not pheasant hunted this land for a good 2-3years and we see were they drive thier trucks on OUR land

So dad has a buddy that has a double bull i might be able to borrow the rest of the season and next year will be PAYBACK time as they wont be getting a free ride anymore

Sorry for the vent just never have had a problem left it out thier last year like that but we would take it down after we got done hunting cant trust people these days sad

Farmer told us tonite he hates this time of the year hunting season is the worse time of the year heck last year we had guys running deer this time of the year had 3-4trucks running gravel roads cb blarrin and im sure a rifle of some sort

Hopefully I can get back down thier and get my revenge back my filling one of my 3 tags

That sums it up. Make sure you take the high road and do things the right way. If you don't, then you'll be no better than them. Keep after it - persistence pays off! Good things happen to Good People.....
