I watched a 1.5 year old in hard horn running does like it was November last night. I guess their attitude really changes when the velvet comes off. Anyone else see this behavior this early?
once they go hard horn the bucks are ready to breed.The older bucks know that unless the doe is ready,there is no reason to chase.A 1.5 buck is like a teenage boy and will try to breed anything. I bet he wishes he had a palm.
I saw 7 bucks tonight. 5 were mature bucks over 3.5yr. Two of the 5 big boys were shed off. The little guys were not shed off. The two mature bucks that were shed off were hanging with does and the ones not shed of were in a bachelor group.
