Harness for the back side.

I really like to hunt from the back side of the tree. I have a standard harness, and its not the best for that.

Anybody come up with anything better? Linemans belt? etc? Need to come up with something to get the wife off my tail, at least until open enrollment when I can up my life insurance.

Look at rock climbing harnesses. They attached at the waist in front. Google it. I've read about a number of guys using them in a tree stand. I've got some rock climbing experience and would.not hesitate to use one.

Rock climbing harnesses are a great idea, I have several setups where the only way to hunt is from the backside of the tree. Definitely annoying when the strap gets in the way when you are trying to draw.

I have also heard that you get none of the circulation cutoff from a climbing harness that you get from a traditional hunting harness

You could try hunting out of a tree sadle style set up, that will allow you to work all around the tree.
