I haven’t been able to turkey hunt much the last couple of years but now in a new chapter of life I was looking forward to opening day. Several Tom’s were roosted close this morning and they went quiet once on the ground. This bird came by around 8:00 am and made a big circle then came by west and headed over the hill.
Half hour later he came in for a close up look. The wind spun my decoy so he came in facing the blind which is risky getting the shot but he hesitated for a second ( big mistake on his part.
Always thankful to hunt and have success and this hunt today has lite the fire again! Went to town and bought my second tag and after it again tomorrow morning.
