Helping fill anothers tag

I purchased an Iowa bow tag and filled it(125" green P+Y 8pt). My hunting partner(also my Father) still has two bow tags to fill. Can I harvest one of these deer? I was told I could by a very unoffical source, and just want to make sure. The Iowa DNR website has some info but it is somewhat confusing. Any insight you might have would be appreciated. Great site, thanks in advance!

Keep um straight and sharp

My understanding is that "Party Hunting" or taking another person's deer is only allowed during shotgun season.

This is the info on the Iowa DNR website I was refering to.

HELPING OTHER HUNTERS
DEER — You may hunt and assist other deer
hunters only in the season specified on your license.
TURKEY — Resident hunters with a 2001 fall turkey
hunting license may assist other fall turkey hunters in
any zone throughout the combination gun/bow or
archery seasons. The hunter doing the assisting may not
carry a gun or bow or shoot a turkey unless he or she has
an unfilled transportation tag valid for that season.

Thanks for the info...kinda the answer I expected. I'll go get a antlerless tag tomorrow. I probably won't fill it, but I don't want to pass up the opportunity to enjoy a couple of second season mornings in a deer stand. Thanks again for the info.
