Herd of decoys

Has anyone ever tried using a herd of decoys? 2-3-4- buck decoys and a doe or two. Just curious as to how you used them and how it worked.I was thinking of trying a big Mckenzie buck and smaller RiverBottom with a bedded doe.Throw in a roar call and see what happens.

One of the best hunts I had was with:

1 Carry-lite buck
1 Flambeau Ready doe
1 Flambeau Feeding doe

Deer really seemed to be attracted to the crowd, does came right in had several bucks came to investigate but no shooters. It was a few years ago when it got really cold in late November. I suspected that the mature bucks were hanging up in the woods til after dark so I thought I would try to lure them out. I did it by driving out into a cornfield to drop off the equipment way before daylight...like 3 hours early so things could settle down before light. That was the first and last to much stuff to carry and to much commotion, but I think about it often and would like to try it again.

ive use two carry lites, one as a standing buck, and another as a bedded doe....
i think like any decoy set up, if you get the right buck in the wrong mood, it would work very well!!

it'd be worth a try....
if you do, take some pix of the set up and fill us in!!

After using Doug's Renzos this year, That's what I'll be buying from now on. Easy to carry and set up plus it's possible for a lone guy to carry a few in with ease.
