He's Alive!

Well my post last Saturday saying I shot my biggest buck and I thought he was down. Well if you didn't see it I never found that buck.

I was in the stand tonight and I noticed movement straight in front of me and I noticed a buck about 55 to 60 yards. I started looking at this deer and noticed the huge similarities in this buck and the one I hit. He turned his head and I then realized, its him. It got me excited but the deer walked off not acknowledging my grunts.

Well to say the least I WANT to shoot this deer now, if I get on this buck it will be the first buck I have history with. I am excited to get back out there to get this deer, I just think I need to get a name for this buck.

Barnes.

In the movie Platoon the one main characters name was Barnes.

"Barnes been shot SEVEN times, and he AINT DEAD! That tell you guys anything?"

BearArchery--

Glad to hear to spotted him. I shot a buck last weekend as well. And you gave me some good advice to think about.

I felt bad all week..but with the research I did and the input on forum members I think he may have made it. As we did all that we could to try and find/recover him.

I hope you get him. And thanks to the other forum members as well. I have not posted much but have read this site for several years.

I felt terrible this week, but am remaining positive.

Thanks again to all the IW posters.

Hopefully I can contribute some advice as well to others.

Good Hunting and Be safe,
