Hey Nanny......

THA4

A Few Steps Ahead Of You
You guys ok down there????

Pretty wicked weather hitting southern Iowa right now....

Hope all is well!

Weather sucks down here right now. I'm stayin up to watch the radar and watch all the water run into my basement right now. We lucked out on the tornado, it touched down west of Creston, then got off the ground until it was east of Creston, then it touched down again.

I'm thinking of stocking my basement with fish, it's about 6 inches deep right now and we're still getting pounded with rain.

Lots of damage down here due to the baseball size hail. I had a really nice looking garden, but its gone, along with most of the leaves on the trees and every shrub around.

Last update that I saw was we had in the ballpark of 4.5 inches of rain.

nanny,
sorry to hear about your basement, went thru that 3 yrs ago, sump quit & filled my den full. were taking it up here as well, i live in Boone county and its just sh***t pounding here right now. The bad thing is , they say on the scanner, the worst can come late thursday & friday.good luck, keep safe.

Not Good! Sounds like more to come over the next few day's! /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad.gif

Good luck down there with all of that. I enjoyed some water in the basement last week. Did some more sealing on it and ditching in the yard, hopefully it holds up.

Fish /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif Gold fish or trout ? The raido said water hy 25 . Creston had 5 to 8 inches of rain. Ya going to federal crop that garden Brian ? You should be like my wife, the tomato plants and everything are still in the shed! I'm 20 miles south of creston and the Platte is comming up fast. Wow this is getting like 93 real fast .

glad to hear your ok, tomatoes can be replanted..... or be like me.... /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif mooch off your neighbors cause they ALWAYS grow too many.... /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif

Stay safe tonight bro, supposed to get bad again....

show of hands.....

whose tired of the rain????

ahhh.... ME!

You'll see my hand raised higher than anyones. Crops are not fairing to good around this area, whats not under water, got beat by hail.

Not to worried about the garden, I have almost an acre garden and it is gone. Probably won't replant anything, just say the heck with it and go to Hyvee.

I'll be sending more bad weather to you guys tonight. All that crap blows through here before heading your way. I'm getting damn tired of storms every night.
It just got done hailing here again about 5 minutes ago.

It is getting real old. It has been tuff getting baseball games in during the week for LL and every weekend we have had to play around the weather for travelball. I had to call games early last night due to lightning and I will be at the fields early today to try to get the field ready for my older son's league championship game. Hope the wind and sun helps today and alot of bags of field dry, then get the game in before the next storm. Then start all over again this weekend with another tourney.
