2009 was basically my first year trail caming and one buck that showed up was a 2 year old 8 point with a small kicker on his base.

I placed a camera in the same location in the summer months of 2010 and was pleased to see this buck made it through the season. After getting over 500 pictures of this deer I named him Hollywood. He was a bit bigger 8 point frame with the same kicker on the base.

After the last two years of trail caming I once again placed a camera in this same area where I was able to get a few pictures of him in mid June but then he just seemed to disapear. After moving cameras around all summer I was able to get 5 photos of him which let me know he was still around.

At 4 years old he was looking real nice an I was able to get able 10 minutes of video of him one evening as he chased a doe. This is where the story takes a turn little did I know as I videoed him chase the doe into the river bottom the neighbor was in stand and that doe led Hollywood right by him. He was able to get an arrow in Hollywood however it was forward into the shoulder and didnt get much for penetration. He was never able to recover Hollywood and I was pretty bummed. Once again I placed a camera in the area where Hollywood has spent most his life after having the camera out for 3 weeks I was pleased to see he was still alive when I checked the camera this week. His rack got a little goofy but he still pretty much has the same frame and kicker. At 5 years old I wouldnt hesitate to put an arrow in him I find it amazing that I have been able to follow this deer for four years and I hope you enjoy reading his story.
