I went out to move some cameras around and could not believe the mosquitos.I dont think I have ever seen it this bad. Cmon first frost.
 
I feel your pain. Fawnkid and I went out this past weekend to hang a stand and were almost carried off by them. I still have one stand to hang. I think we will take the spray with us this time.
 
Has anybody tried one of those thermacell (sp) repellers?I was going to pick one up to use during the youth season.
 
I've used the thermacells for a couple of years now....they work great, but for best results I still carry the DEET.

I threw up a ladder stand this weekend on the edge of a field to scope things out from a distance. Had the thermacell cooking and it kept those buggers at bay. I can smell it though...wonder if it'll bother the deer.
 
They are bad!!

yea the skeeters really picked up in the last week, i don't know what it is but i sure dont like it!

doublerack and myself went out and trimmed some trees for my climber last night, and were almost eaten alive. Ths skeeters were horrible.
 
I've been mowing strips in my C.R.P. acres in the evenings and since I live close to the river the skeeters are extremely bad right now. Frost can't come soon enough for me.
 
i went back to my truck twice to reapply the bugspray on tuesday. but i am done putting up stands now.

I must be lucky because i've only been bit maybe 10 times all year, and am in the timber every day. Maybe they just dont like me.
 
I agree they have really been bad this last week. I was out working on the new house last night up on a ladder with a slight breeze and they were down right nasty even before dusk.
 
I got destroyed this past weekend right at dusk. Good thing I had a buzz on because I didn't really feel them until the next morning.
 
Just let the dogs out and might as well had an sky high view of my house cuz they are horrible. It's funny when they get to the bugzapper tho...
