This is a different method from what I've seen before. My only concern is drilling all the way through your nock. Not too sure I would want to shoot it this way out of my bow.

I dont know about that I would hate to have my nock bust in mid shot.

i made some with a similar method without drilling the nock.used "clear" orange colored nocks with that same thill light and they are still brighter than the orignal luminok.no need to drill if you don't want to.
