Greetings Fellow and Lady hunters. I have been busy working, not able to get to land for hunting yet. Need to seal deal , selling house, so may not be hunting for awhile yet. With colder weather, how are sightings? Have quickly read some posts. Is the best yet to come,,,near Nov, as usually is? Guess my lament over a warm Oct. not quite right.
 
I should of had my buck this morning, but he went off after some does over the hill. He will live yet another day. Other than that I have just seen some does and some 1.5 year olds...
 
Just got back from my stand. 8 small bucks within 20 yrds. 2 doe and 4 turkey. Nothing big moving that I have seen
 
I have been seeing lots of deer in the morning but no shooters. I had ten walk under me today. There were 7 does & 3 young bucks. It's usully the other way around with way more buck sightings. The first morning I went out a couple of weeks ago I had 9 of the 11 bucks that I saw walk under me. Once again no shooters but a couple that should be real nice next year.
 
All 1.5 year old bucks, no large deer spotted yet but there are larger rubs and scrapes starting to show up in places.

My guess would be 10-14 days before things go bonkers.

A good rule of thumb I use and you don't need to be hunting to use this tactic is when you start seeing deer carcass piling up on the highways its time to get into the woods.
