How old?

I don't see many old bucks, on camera or on the hoof. So quite honestly I suck at guessing age. This one I'm really curious about. Never seen him before, he showed up Thursday morning. Walked right towards me on the path I walked in on, and directly downwind of me. Crazy! Anyway, to me this deer looks old and tired! Any guesses? I do hope the video works...

Woah..and you let him stroll on by? Old enough to put an arrow in to me.
Agree old enough to put an arrow in. Exact age who knows. 5+ is my guess.

He likes your mowed path. Hes probably wondering if you could add a few more....

would make it easier to sneak up on the does.

Did you not take a shot?

Can't see the picture, but In my experience aging them on the hoof, in the time you get to look at them as they walk or run by is hard.

Unless you have years of photos, and know the deer its darn hard.

I killed one last year I know he was old as the hills. Just no genetics, by the time I killed him in the gun season he was worn down. From fighting and chasing. (He was completely broke off). His antlers always looked the same for 3 years, and he was always broken off.

Probably the oldest buck I've ever killed, Also the ugliest buck I've ever killed.
