How to age deer on the hoof?

I got a late start in life at hunting. Never hunted as a kid and didnt start until my son showed interest in hunting. Shot my first deer at age 32 and absolutely fell in love with it. I have learned a lot over the last 7 years of hunting but i really dont know how to age a deer.

I would like to here what everyone has to say. Or if anyone has pictures of different age deer that might help as well.

I'm not to good with pictures but once you see a mature buck on hoof, I feel like you can just tell...just seem to have a big darker colered body to em.

Never go by antler size! When you see a mature buck you will know. Although I have seen some pretty big 3-4 year old bodied deer. There is a huge difference IMO of a truly mature deer. If you see multiple bucks together in a field you can really gauge age difference in there overall body size/height when they get near one another.
