Hunter safety course

Does anyone know of any hunter safety class's in or around central Iowa.A friend of mine need's to get her's before she can apply for a tag in Wyoming this coming fall and the deadline to apply is mid March so she need's to get it before then.

Never heard of one in the late winter or early spring but that doesn't mean there isn't one. Did you search the internet? Check the DNR website?

I know it isn't in Central Iowa, but my wife took the course at Kent Park near Iowa City last March and it was very well taught. I sat through it with her and the guys did a great job teaching the class.

To my knowledge the only reason you'd need a course to hunt in central Iowa is if you're talking about hunting within the urban deer mangagement zone with the special urban tags.

Have your friend check the DNR web sight, they also offer a internet course to help with the working people that can not attend normal classes...check the web sight for more info.
