Recently found an old 1958 Iowa hunting regulations booklet my grandfather had stuck in a shotgun cleaning kit, thought you might enjoy knowing how things have changed in the last 45 years...
Price of a deer tag was $10, tag was a metal band and was to be attached to the hind leg.
Shotgun season, December 13-14 (2 whole days!)....shooting hours were 8:00am-4:00pm.
Archery season November 1 through the 30th. 6:30am-5:30pm.
Land owners, their children, and tennants did not need to buy a license for general hunting.
