Iowa Deer Classic seminar schedule?

I know a show promotor from Bismark, ND that tried one in Moosejaw that turned out to be a complete flop. Someheads came in and enough people but no exibitors, and thats where they make their money from.

All the "horn scoring nights" that get held around Sask and AB this time of the year are alot of fun. I've been to a couple of them in the past. But its these very same events that hurt the productivity of a bigger show. People feel that since they've already had their deer scored that they don't need to bring it to the major show. It works like this in Minnesota also, where we can have upwards of 20 small "deer shows" each spring. Deer get scored and entered in record books, but they never leave the local area for display, and this has hurt our deer classic big time.

I have found many of the scoring nights here to be very disapointing. ot all, but many hunters here have a different view than you boys. Deer that dont impress at the score nights often end up in the ditch, trash, or hide collection bin. Arguments and fights are the norm.

I spoke with the CEO of the show yesterday and he informed me that Michael Waddell will NOT be at the show this year and the "headliner" is Byron Ferguson, the archery trick shot artist (he's been there every year), he also metioned Rod White's name as a seminar speaker and some predator calling guy. He said they are trying to work out a deal with Lee and Tiffany but thats not confirmed yet. The seminars are being cut back from 9 speakars on three stages to 6 speakars on two stages. Just thought I'd share what I know.

...and that is sad and lack of respect for a harvested animal. Its a shame that the size of an animal's antlers leads people to do stuff like that.
