I went to Canada the week before Labor Day. I went with a group of 7 guys and it went very well as they’ve done it for many years. We drove all night and arrived at noon and everyone was scrambling to hit the water.
The day we arrived a cold front was coming through with wind and rain.
The afternoon was British Open type weather with off and on rain and we got to enjoy a cool rainbow!
The fishing was slow the whole week but we caught enough to eat and enjoy the experience.
My first walleye
Going through a small channel to another lake
The next morning the fog was really bad! I used a lake map and my phone compass to guide the captain to get to the spot where we were the day before. Going through the same channel that morning.
When the fog was clearing it made for nice pictures
On Wednesday I was able to catch a 23 inch walleye. The biggest walleye for the group measured 31 inches.
The last night of fishing produced a nice sunset
Tomorrow I’m heading back to catch more trout and will be exploring a couple different streams
