It has begun

Finished planting corn yesterday morning so thought I'd take the rest of the day off and head out to the pond. I have made a few posts on here regarding how to make this pond deeper and some said to drain it and start from scratch.

This is the reason why I don't know if I really want to do that.
5 1/2 pounds is not uncommon for bass in this pond

Here is my first catch.

My buddy came down and managed to snag two ladies

Well we finished up fishing there with 10 bass total 4 weighing in over 5 pounds.

Felt like doing some catfishing so thought we would try lake icaria. I hadn't really fished it since they had drained it but I had been hearing of people catching cats up to 10 pounds this year.
Long story short, we went down there got set up and within I had this guy up on shore...First time in my life I have ever caught a walleye in the southwest part of the state.

Managed to catch a TON of bullheads and only one catfish while there.
Still a great day to say the least and I can now finally say, "it has begun."
