Last Thursday I never hunted, so instead I grabbed the camera and took a ride.

the bucks were with the does.

this doe was near the road

JLC, I always look for posts started by you. Awesome pics can't wait for more. I would love to see that last one stepping towards a shooting lane!! WOW!!

Great pics!!! That second buck looks like an angus bull with a couple sticks on his head!

Ok, question for the troops. Do you shoot the second deer to cull him from the herd or do you leave him with the idea that his right side got hurt and next year he will have a right side that matches the left? Just curious.

I always enjoy the quality of your photos. I am particularly fond of that goofy half-rack. I agree, I bet not many deer mess with him...he is a beast.

the half racked 8.

he will never change.

2 years ago Rick was in the blind with me to tape when he came by. he was about 10 yds away when I was coming to full draw.

Rick leaned forward to catch more in his video when his knee tapped the floor. The deer almost turned inside out getting the heck out of Dodge !!

Rick looked at me and said "OOPS"

In a way I was glad I didn't get the shot because he would of been around a 150 class 8 if the other side matched. The side that was missing had a main beam about 3-5" long. it looked like it was broken off.

Last year I saw him again in the field south of the farm I hunt. his rack and body was allot bigger but only one side again.

And you can see how he looks this year.
