It was a fun end to the season, didn't see anything mature or pull the trigger, but saw probably 25 deer this morning. Right at 8AM, I had a yearling doe come by that must have been in heat, no kidding 30 seconds after she comes through 7 bucks come right after her! The closest in check was probably a 2-2.5 year old, he is up and coming, probably 120ish 9pt. Other than that, it wasn't anything more than basket racks and spikes, felt like the early rut though! Afterwards, around 9AM I had a bunch of movement on the ridge above me and what looked like a wounded buck running and a group of probably 10 does, not sure what spooked them, didn't hear any close gun fire.
Can't wait to get the trail cams back out end of the month and start getting ready for next season!
