The area I'm hunting has a little bit of cropland but a large portion of it is brushy swamp. All the locals always talk about 'all the big bucks' hiding in the big swamp. That may be true but what on earth is there for deer to eat in a big swamp (about 2 miles by 2 miles)!? What are some browse-type foods I should be looking for in areas like this (warm/snowless winter makes it hard to find fresh sign)? Also, is there a food source favorite in the month of December for deer (besides corn... don't have any of that on the land I hunt). I know I just threw a lot at you but any advice would be appreciated. Good hunting and God give us snow!!!
