Not sure if this should be posted somewhere else. I received a FoxPro caller for xmas and am anxious to try it on some crows next week when the season opens again. I plan to swing into these public grounds, setup, call them in, shoot and be gone from each place within 30 minutes.
I have scoured the DNR website looking for rules on shooting on the state wildlife management areas. I thought at one time they changed everything over to non-lead on state lands, except for deer and turkey. I could be mistaking state for federal ground.
Can I use lead shot for crows on public management areas? Like Hooper, Badger Creek, Woodland Mound State preserve (not even sure if Woodland is still posted for public hunting, it was 15 years ago, will check when we arrive)?
I can't imagine it being so but is orange required for crows like pheasants? I doubt they are considered upland game, but goofier laws have passed.
Thanks
