Well after shooting a few of these over the years I've finally decided to try and cook some and see how it is.

Also managed to hit this fatty...she weighed in at 22 lbs. They just started spawning up at my main area and they are just everywhere.

And 1 more fatty...no 22 lbs but pry around the 14 range.

So how did they taste? I have tried to cook gar, but failed everytime. My dogs would not even eat it last time

Well we took a few fillets and cut them into cubes and boiled them in a crab boil. Turned out all right. Would have been better with more flavoring but in my opinion it had a trout taste with the consistency of chicken somewhat. We also just fried some up and it was hit in our household, everyone loved it. Its not real fishy. The fillets sat in a ziplock in the fridge for 3 days before it was cooked and u could barely smell it. All in all I give it a thumbs up.
