One guys best morning can be anothers worst. Really depends on the does. You should still see alot of younger deer as the bucks with does will bounce them out like pinballs. They just keep searching, all alone
You never know when a doe will lead a big boy by you, trying to get away, moving etc. This time of year is crazy but staying with it is your best bet as you may see a buck at 9 am, 11 am, 2 pm etc, that came from along ways off. So many deer are seen this time of year that nobody had any idea were around.
There are no rules to lock down other than being in the woods AMAP and while one may be locked down, another will be out looking for another lady. It is hit or miss..but can be very exciting. Hunt the does right now, and be more afarid of bumping them out than bucks as they will still be in the same areas you found them in the early fall depending on food sources. I have seen them leave the fields though as it seems they get sick of being harassed!
The females are your ticket. Have does...you will have bucks eventually. Remember where you "jumped" alot of does in the past, scouting forays etc. In two weeks or so, rub lines etc will pick back up but now, there is no rhyme or reason. Good luck!
