Land of the Whitetail
I am looking for about 60-100 more small cedars that I can dig up and transplant for a screen. This is by hand/shovel so I want to keep them no bigger than a couple feet tall really or else the digging gets to be a bit much.
Is digging them out of a road ditch seem like a good idea or not? I mean, its sort of stealing them in a way, but I know they are just going to get mowed down by the county at some point. I dont know, I'd like think I could just dig them out of the ditch, but feels wrong.
Anyone in south central IA: Warren, Madison, Clarke, Union, Lucas county area have a pasture area with small volunteer cedars in that 10 inch to 24 inch range or so coming up that would be okay with me digging a bunch up?
