MINERAL TO PUT OUT NOW…

Has anyone tried putting it in some kind of tub making it easy to leave no trace for hunting season? If I'm reading the Iowa laws correctly you can't hunt withtin 200 yds of a mineral site unless it's cleaned up. That makes it difficult for a small property guy to run mineral. Deer seem to like it mixed into the soil so would they even consume it out of a tub? Perhaps mixing some dirt into the tub?
I tried cutting barrels in half a few years ago and putting the block up off the bottom so it showed out the top a little. Deer avoided them like the plague and the water in the bottom stunk so bad I couldn't get within 20 yards of them without gagging.

I tried using shallow mixing tubs. Didn’t work great.

My TSC run.
Molasses is on order from True Value. Will pick up garlic from Walmart. :-)

8% phosphorus mineral seemed expensive at $39 a bag. Rest was reasonable.

Also putting out Feed for the first time this year. Looked for high protein pellets, and will mix with corn/sunflower feed.

Can't you just cover it during hunting season? Tarped plywood etc. The one by our house I just put a water tank over it. They loved the water until it froze.
