The amendment is for nonresident LANDOWNERS, who own 21% of Iowa's farm ground, pay property taxes and have 24 billion dollars of investment in Iowa. It is not for just nonresidents.
I have brought this forward on behalf of my constituents who have children that are part owners in their farms, live out of state, but come home on weekends to help with the harvest and cannot hunt on their own property. They pay property taxes and support the local economies all year long.
This was her response to me. I specifically asked her how she thought an increase of 6000 tags could benefit any Iowan other than one that is an outfitter. Also asked her if she was listening to her constituants in her district or if they were being ignored. She recieved 3 well thought out and calm e-mails back from me as well.
