killer buck

It was November 21, right in the heart of the rut. I was sitting in the stand for 2 hours, when I heard a snort in the creek below, so I grunted at it and about 5 minutes later a doe appeared. Suddenly this buck appeared and was chasing the doe. It was heading the opposite way, so I grunted and it turned and came within twenty yards of my stand. Then I laid the smackdown on the buck right through the heart. I caught this buck on a trail-cam earlier this year while it was in velvet. The last picture may be the same one.

I edited that out of my post. Didn't wanna rain on somebody's parade. Still willing to high five ya!

Great buck, the deer you harvested is a lot wider than the one in the photo. If 08/07 is the correct date, he didn't have much growth left before losing velvet. I don't believe it is the same buck. Great width and height on those tines. Congrats.
