No more thunder

Does anyone else think the turkey mating season is close to over? Ive been trying to kill a bird for the past week and a half and particularly over the past week it seems they have all stopped gobbling. They may gobble a few times off the roost but as soon as they are on the ground they stop. I cant get one to respond to a call. They did gobble with the tornado siren the other day tho was kinda cool.

The turkey breading season is kind of like the rut. It can be here or there or hit and miss from farm to farm.
Usually when they gobble from the roost a few times and then shut up on the ground they have hens with them already.
I still have a tag in my pocket also, just trying to scrounge up enough time to get out and see if I can find a bird

Early season was like that for me...now they are hammering hard and heavy in my neck of the woods..just trying to get out now to fill my tag...
