The Central Iowa Longspurs Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation will be holding their 27th Annual Banquet on March 5th, 2011 at the Des Moines Izaak Walton League.
I think this is the same night as the IBA banquet, but if anyone is interested in attending pm me your e-mail and I can forward you the information. I've been on this comittee for over ten years now, and its a great banquet with alot of one of a kind items on the auctions. In the past they have had originals by Larry Anderson, Tom Miller, wood carvings by Cliff Rooney, and chain saw sculptures from time to time.
Tickets are as follows:
Single- $50
Couple- $70
Sponsor ( includes meal & $100 raffle pkg)- $260
Jake ( Children under 17 I think) $25
Member of another chapter ( must have ID # on dinner ticket) - $25
Doors open @ 4:00 pm for games/ happy hour/ silent auction
Dinner @ 6:00 pm ( usually steak or giant pork loin w sides)
$100 & $150 raffle pkgs available
Gun of the year is a .45 cal Kimberly pistol ( usually have somewhere between 14-18 guns total)
