Checked one of my cams today and ended up getting very excited. I have a bunch of pictures of these two bucks around the same time each day and during day light hours.

Now all I need to do is get my stand hung and get the heck out of dodge to leave these two a lone. I hope that it might be an early season!!! :)

They are both coming threw around 7 to 7:30pm!!!

I guess the pictures show that they around 11:30am however there are more around 730pm than 1130am.

One other thing, last year I missed an eight pointer in the same section during late muzzleloader. I think that this 9 pointer is the same deer I missed.

I wouldn't count your chickens before they hatch. I have seen it many times. As soon as they shed their velvet they are gone. Now if you start getting those photos in hard horn that is a different story. Great looking deer, I hope it works out!!

 What he said. I've been down that road too. Good luck though...there are plenty of guys that tag out early by doing the legwork on the off-season. :way:

My observations are when they lose velvet they move off a little. And now the oaks are dropping acorns many deer will migrate to them. If it were Sept. 20th and I was getting those pictures I'd be pumped. It's amazing how deer can dissapear. I have August pictures of the same giant 9 pointer for 4 years and have never seen him in person or have a pic from another month. Good luck!

I agree with everyone else on this. Every year i get daytime pics of good bucks until the 1st of September. After that i don't see them on camera until the rut.

What he said. You never know though. I had a bruiser of a 4 year old last year stay in the area from June through the middle of November. He was the only mature buck that did that though. All of the others left and didn't reappear until early November.

Ok I guess i should have used a different title, I was excited. I've hunted this spot for the past few years and really figured this spot out. Been thinking about last hunt i shot a 150 eight and how it came together. Well I decided to set my cameras by doe bedding areas to pattern the does. This set is less than 100 yards from their bedding area on a heavely used trail.

So I guess I should have titled it differently than patterned. More like it's taken five years for me to get a small idea on hunting trophy deer. :)

I don't think that anyone was trying to beat ya up about it. Just maybe remembering back to a frustrating deer of out own that we thought we had nailed down. At least that is what I was referring to. Thanks for sharing the pics....go get 'em this fall! :way:

I wasn't upset, I actually realized I was over excited and forgot they do move to new locations after they go hard horned. So I appreciate all of you helping me calm down so i can think more clearly. :)

I enjoy hearing ur comments it gives me a different perspective. :) thanks for ur comments.
