I'm also a teacher and feel your pain during the rut...and we only get 2 personal days each year at my school.
As much as I hate to do it I usually make an eye appointment for around 1:00PM on a day during the first week of November and just take a full "sick day" and hunt in the morning, go to a 30 minute appt. and hunt in the afternoon; this way I don't feel so guilty about my decision. We can also cash in 10 sick days for an extra personal day, and having maxed out my 120 sick days I usually do this also. This year I got a 160 class buck second morning in the bow stand and never had to hunt a weekday, so I get to save up my personal days for next year!
