Planting between tree planting rows

Does anybody know if you are able to plant food plots In between the rows of trees? The planting is about 6years old.

Otherwise clover can be an option in a regular planting

You have to get that approved

FSA office might allow clover, but not sure

Can you spray in between the trees? If so, I'd spray roundup and leave some to go to weeds and plant some strips to clover.

Yes we are going to mow it short then lower the boom all the way down as not to get any on the trees then run a 8' disk in between the 10' rows.

Are the trees tubed?If they aren't and are small saplings it takes a lot more work.i weedeated around mine and then used a 4inch PVC with a wire handle to slip down over tree and then sprayed roundup

The trees are not tubed. They are 6 years old and the deer already got to 50% of them. When I bought the farm they were already planted and the state didn't make them tube them. I would rather have switch grass but can't change that for another 9 years.
