planting corn

I want to plant corn and soybeans this year but the soil where i am planning on planting is mostly sand and peat. I am just wondering if anybody has any experience in planting in these conditions? The good thing is that i have an irrigation system set up so i can water the plots whenever i want. Any input would be great.

I have never worked with peat but the limiting factor with sand of course is water, it sounds like you hvae that part covered so I see no reason why your plot's shouldn't be successful. :way:
