Planting Crown Vetch

I have an area I had some dirt work done that is needing planted real bad this spring for erosion control.

I was thinking of planting Crown Vetch, anyone tried this??????

It'll hold the soil, but personally I'd look at other routes to take. It's non-native and pretty invasive, especially in grasslands. ... Can be nasty stuff

Crown vetch is very invasive, I would avoid that stuff if possible.

If you need a cover crop, go with winter rye grain instead of crown vetch IMO.

plant some winter rye mixed with some versa grass. The rye will green up fast and the grasses in the versa grass mix will soon follow establishing a permanent stand.
