Plot Saver

Saw this on the QDMA site...looks interesting! I'm not sure I could afford to "fence" off any foodplots because I have too many and they are to large. The thought did occur to me that it could have other uses though. As a bowhunter "funnels" are everything and I try to create some using a chainsaw. I could see where this idea could be useful to change travel routes. I have some foodplots where deer come into it "everywhere"! I might have to give this a try to funnel them by my stand

It might be useful for keeping deer out of young trees, gardens, etc...though I'll have to see it to belive it!

you can see the back of the field is hammered and inside the fence it is untouched .. I did not even find a track inside but , I found out you have to use 2 strips of fencing to get it to work ..

I have heard about someone using round bales as a fence around a food plot then removing a couple to act as a gate during the season.

I have seen a few places with extreme electric fencing and it never worked, even when the fence was managed. I would like to see what the results would of been if the plot that got eaten would of been fenced in as well, so the only food available was fenced in. All the electric fence examples I have seen where the only food was fenced in, the deer got into it. The ones that had a unfenced plot got destroyed. I wonder if it would be the same for Plotsaver? Anyways I find it interesting. Nice food plots
