Poaching in the “good neighborhoods”

I don’t post much but watch this site often - love it! For those who aren’t seeing what Sligh is talking about, it’s real. And further more, it’s getting worse. Thermals, suppressors, drones, etc, I’m all for it, but it has to have its boundaries and regulations with real consequences come misuse. Issue is proving violation in any given scenario. My $.02, it starts with trespassing fines, make them hurt rather than a slap on the wrist. Anyway, technology has outgrown our laws. I hope legislation can do something about it eventually, but my thought is it’s going to take an extreme event to warrant enough attention to bring change. What’s the point of property lines if a drone can push your deer wherever they want when they want. It’s bs and I hope the state does something about it.

Gotta admit. All this hi tech stuff would be/ could be SO MUCH FUN.
My mind races back n forth over these type of topics.
But in the long run, I'm happy just to be kinda " old school".

My whole bowhunting life (45+) years have been to keep things simple.
Have dabbled in gadgets, yep.. but.., I've always came back to what I grew up with for the most part. I do have a couple enclosed blinds I built ( but seldom) sit in, regular old Muzzy heads, 10/12 foot stands (of on the ground), no bait, super cheap camo (walmart) lol, ect.

Ain't out to impress anyone nor will I.
And it keeps evolving. Stuff that is fun can be used for no good. Thermal drones about 400ish feet off ground is pretty awesome and you can cover a lot of ground real fast to inventory.

Only a matter of time before GPS chips are arrow capable. Might already be I didn't do the research.

I talked to a neighbor that owns a good thick hollow behind me that's close to 3/8 of a mile long. He had issues with trespassers hunting it. He found a stand on the other end of the hollow and took it down and laid it at the base of the tree. He talked to a game warden, and he offered to surveil the area for 5 days. He finally caught a guy with his son shoot a buck while watching them (videoed it). The a-hole then cut the head off the buck and left the deer lay. Big fine and loss of hunting privileges for 5 years for poaching and trespassing. Got to get tough on poaching and trespassing!

My boys have wanted to make a tannerite decoy for years. I made a few sets of antler replicas and I have a full body deer target decoy. Would be pretty funny to video their faces when that “monster”explodes.
They also thought it would be hilarious to put a set of two right side replica sheds out in a fields edge. Can you imagine the look when someone races out to pick up a giant set and it’s two identical right sides.
