This question is born out of the idea that folks are abusing hunting access on a doe tag while really buck hunting.
Good differentiator. I should reword the question. That's a tough one. Maybe it should be limited to NRLO only?
Otherwise as a NRLO, you are limited to only hunting does when you have a buck tag, which we know is 5-6 year wait for archery and 2-3 for shotgun.
As a NRLO, I have bought the $400 doe tag plenty of times during gun season, just to be able to sit and hunt my own farm.
Seems like extortion by the State to force NR's to buy a doe tag, IMO.What I would say, is that if I need to wait 4 years and pay 700 bucks to hunt (which is fine), I should not have to buy a $100 doe tag. Make it optional.
That went into affect many years ago I think by the legislature to help reduce the doe population! My oh my how things changeSeems like extortion by the State to force NR's to buy a doe tag, IMO.
