Potting norway spruce plugs

Whats the best way to pot norway spruce plugs? Do you use regular dirt from the ground the tree will be transplanted into or use miracle grow potting soil? Never did this before.

Just had a conversation with a tree farm owner yesterday and he said it's best to put trees in the soil you will transplant them to. Makes sense and probably helps with easier adjustment to tree and less chance for transplant shock

Yes. You want to mix 50/50 potting soil + the new soil they are going into.

This has yielded great results for me personally.

I might pot a few of these .. picked them up for $3
