The Non-Typical Whitetail Journal by Step Ahead Outdoor Solutions, LLC is the most comprehensive field journal available today. This web-based journal allows you to record practically every detail you can imagine about any deer hunt you go on. Record when and where your hunt took place and practically any weather condition you can think of.
The journal doesn't stop with recording information, it will also allow you to search, sort and analyze any of the information you enter. You can go back several years and pull out data from specific areas or dates. The possibilities are endless. For example, if you are wondering what treestand produces best on a day with a Northwest wind and overcast skies just search your account with those parameters and see what is found. You can be very general or extremely specific with your searches, as well as your entries.
The Non-Typical Whitetail Journal is also a great management tool. Use it to keep track of all the sightings on your property and/or other properties you hunt. You will have the ability to sort sighting from one property to another or even from one treestand to another. Keep track of young bucks, mature bucks, spikes and does. We didn’t stop at just allowing a hunter to record and analyze their sightings, we have added mapping tools to allow you to see your treestand and trail camera location on a private aerial map. The observations gathered by your trail cams can be entered into your journal and used just like a normal hunt.
