Quality Whitetails photograph wins OWAA Award
The cover image of a truly handsome whitetail buck working an overhead licking stick, on the 2012 October/November issue of Quality Whitetails magazine, has been selected as the best "Fauna" photo for the year by the Outdoor Writers Association of America, OWAA. The honor completes an unprecedented Triple Crown win for this image that earned similar First Place honors in the 2012 awards programs of the Pennsylvania Outdoor Writers Association, POWA, and the Mason/Dixon Outdoor Writers Association, MDOWA. OWAA's excellence in craft awards will be presented during the association's annual conference in Lake Placid New York, September 14-16, 2013.
Another of wildlife photographer Tim Flanigan's photos, that of a redhead duck drake bathing, received a third place award in OWAA's "Action" photography category. More of Flanigan's photography may be viewed at www.NatureExposure.com.
