I hit a badger two days before the trapping season a few years ago. I called up the game warden and he gave me permission over the phone to take it to the taxidermist which is what I did. He said he would drop by the taxidermist and take care of it, which I assumed meant he would bring a green tag over there. I do not know if he ever did but I know the badger rug looks great on my wall.
