Rangefinder magnification

What’s everyone’s preference on magnification? 5x, 6x, 7x? Currently have 6x but a couple new models I like have 5x. Wondering if anyone regrets the 5x.

6x seems to be great all around IMO.

My Vortex is a 6x and its not too much at close range, yet functions as a nice monocular to see anything coming further out.

5x would be fine if you also carried binoculars.

I use a vortex 6x and works great for me.
