Redemption

Ever have a nice buck at 27 yards & have him duck your arrow? I did two days ago on our season opener, he was the first deer I seen & one of two I hoping to get a crack at but he won that round. It's hard to shake it off but I did my best & headed out this evening. I smoked a huge doe around sunset at 15 yards. Three seconds & 25 yards later she was mine. Redemption feels good, even if it wasn't that buck that out moved me, feels good.

I wish the buck I shot at Sunday night would have ducked the shot. He was in the 135 - 140 area and I freaking just flat out missed low at 25 yards. Two days prior I squared a doe at 30 yards through both lungs. Good thing its early!!!!

I think I was peeking at the horns.
