Rye grain

After any fawns are mobile enough to get outta the mowers way and before the seed head matures if you're looking to prevent reseeding. Does really like to hide fawns in nice tall rye, so be careful!

I did it once wanting to do it before fawns arrived about a month ago. Bad thing is that it grew right back. So going to have to do all over.

I wanted to kill it before it got 4' tall because last year I waited and it wrapped around my disc etc and is a huge pain in the ass to get off. It was like rope.

No, it shouldn't. I mowed a little patch a month ago to get some thistles and the only rye that's still there is a few strips that was pushed over by the tires and not cut.

Agree. I mowed some on may 30 and there's nothing there today
