Rye last fall....frost seed clover?

Would frost seeding this spring succeed in a plot that I planted rye last fall? My thought is the clover wouldn't be able to get established since the rye would take off first. I didn't plant clover with rye last fall because I wasn't intending to go to clover long term in this spot. Thanks

Yes. U always better off establishing clover with the rye in fall of course.
I’d seed the clover very heavy. Toxins from rye & brassicas keep “weeds” out …. I’ve still done just fine with seeding heavy.

I'm not Skip but have successfully done this many times.

Just let the rye mature and die into this summer. It'll nurse your clover until it can get some legs under it. No need to spray or mow. Often better that way. Once your first year clover is finally big enough where it truly needs a mow later this summer, then mow high.
