Same buck

My friend was looking through my photo album tonight and said these buck pictures were the same deer.

I said, no way, they were taken a few miles apart, then I looked closer at the pictures.

the first one is from 08-28, the 2nd one is from 08-06

I've wanted a university to do a study on this. Collar a mature deer in the summer, and see how much he moves until winter. I bet we would be suprised.

Yup. I know of a deer that was shot more than 3 miles from where he spent the summer, and who knows how much further he traveled beyond that.

Anyone else ever notice how quickly a deer can walk across a 1/4 section?
A couple miles is like a walk around the block.

I think some bucks travel miles and others travel relatively none... all situational and individual behaviors... definitely same buck though! Sweet pictures!
